Public Internet Access Program (PIAP)
PIAP aims to ensure community-based affordable public internet access is available to marginalised women who would not otherwise have such access.
The Public Internet Access Program is funded by the Victorian Government and provides marginalised women with a safe space between Monday and Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm to self educate, meet other women and build information resources to promote their health and wellbeing.
In response to the increasing demand from our clients to use low cost computers and learn basic computer skills, WHISE has linked the PIAP service with our ‘Computers for Beginners’ program. Anyone who wants to use the Internet, but isn’t sure how to, is encouraged to join in and learn.
