Volunteering is a great way to get involved in making a real difference in the community and such involvement can enhance your own work experience while helping the community.

Volunteers are currently involved in:

  • Home visiting program for refugee women
  • Administration/Reception
  • Health Promotion

Current Volunteer Vacancies

The Settlement Services Program is looking for female volunteers to participate in the home visiting program. All volunteers must undertake a four day training course prior to visitations. Training dates to be advised, keep an eye on our website for these dates as well as other settlement-related events. For more information or to register, contact Marian or Shehani on 03 9794 8677.

Student Placements

WHISE is committed to developing the skills and knowledge of students who are interested in pursuing work within the women's health sector.

As such, we welcome applications from women living in the Southern Metropolitan Region of Melbourne who are interested in project based, health promotion student placements.

To be eligible to apply students must, at a minimum, be completing a third year undergraduate qualification OR be in the process of completing a postgraduate qualification in health or social science related field.

WHISE Board of Management

The Board of Management are seeking expressions of interest from women who are passionate about women’s health and gender equity issues. Specifically looking for women with skills in finance, social media, strategic/health planning.
